A Collector-Grade Example of Lamborghini’s Most Hardcore Diablo

The Diablo GT introduced in 1998 was developed as a homologation special engineered with no compromise and intended to deliver the closest road going experience to Lamborghini’s GT racing program. It was offered exclusively in the European market never officially sold in the US and today remains one of the most soughtafter Lamborghinis for collectors worldwide.

 

The power comes from a 6.0 liter naturally aspirated V12 derived from the Diablo GT2 race car producing 575 PS (567 hp) and 630 Nm of torque. Unlike the Diablo VT the GT is rear wheel drive offering a raw, analog driving experience that demands skill and rewards confidence.

The GT’s aggressive wide body styling includes extensive use of carbon fiber panels, a unique vented front fascia and a large fixed rear wing. The car also features lightweight OZ Racing wheels, a stripped-down focused interior and revised aerodynamics to improve downforce and high speed stability.

This example stands out for its originality and condition. The engine bay’s carbon fiber components retain their factory gray/black matte tone indicating limited heat exposure and careful driving. The bodywork shows minimal stone chipping unusual for a car of this performance level.

 

A rare and valuable factory option fitted to this example is the rearview camera integrated into the rear wing displayed via a central console screen that also serves as the navigation system one of very few factory fitted options available for the Diablo GT.
